The international jury will deliberate from December 1st - December 15th, 2023
The announcement of the winners will take place live on December 20th, 2023 in the DoYouSpeakWatercolor group on Facebook.
Winners & honorable mentions will be invited to exhibit their works at the RuhrInAcquarello 2025 festival in Essen / Germany (planned for May, 2025) - Winner of category Figure & Portrait (FP) - Winner of category Animal & Wild life (AW)
Winner of category Still life & Botanical (SB) - Winner of category Landscape & Architecture (LA) -
Winner of category Storytelling & Unique Style (SU) - Winner of the DYSW Excellence Award

All watermedia accepted (watercolor, gouache, etc.)
Each artist can send up to five artworks in total. Paintings can be for different categories. So you can either choose to paint up to 5 pictures for the same category or you can paint one for each category. Or 2 paintings for one category and another 3 for a second category (and so on...)
You have to be at least 16 years old to join the contest.
Your artwork files have to be named the following way:
Category_Artist -Name_Country_Title_Year_Size
(For example: LA_Carsten Wieland_Germany_In the fields_2023_76x56cm)
and should be in a size to allow to print them in a catalogue -
300dpi, at least 2400px at the longest side, Size 1.5MB - 4MB
